Social Development

Program Overview

To address all aspects of poverty, including hunger, malnutrition, limited access to basic services,  and social exclusion, a social perspective on development is urgently needed. The World Social Summit identified poverty eradication as an ethical, social, political, and economic imperative of mankind. UNANIMA participates in several NGO committees and working groups focused on social development through international policy at the United Nations, including the NGO Committee on Social Development and the NGO Subcommittee on Poverty Eradication. Each year, we conduct grassroots surveys, prepare written statements for the Commission on Social Development, and lobby government delegations to promote our issues.
