Upcoming UN Events

The Third Session of the Preparatory Committee for the 2015 review of Conference for the Treaty on Non-Proliferation will be held from April 28 – May 9 the at the New York UN headquarters.  Created in the seventies, this treaty is considered the cornerstone of international treaties that deal with containing and reducing the chance of using nuclear weapons, with Russia and the United States as the major parties. Recent activities in the Crimea and Syria bring renewed realization of the need for moving forward on disarmament and abolition of these weapons of mass destruction.
