Trafficking Notes

Some sisters in community leadership in UNANIMA USA communities helped create a proposal against trafficking, out of Region 14 of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious… good news out of LCWR!

-–reported by Kathleen Bryant RSC—

Laurie Ferguson, a member of the Australian parliament, stopped by the office in late September. The sisters in UNANIMA communities had told him to come! He is very supportive of ACRATH (Australian Catholic Religious Against Trafficking in Humans) and wanted to know more about what we are doing. We talked about trafficking, migration, fracking, and mining the lands of indigenous peoples.
