One of the goals of the UNANIMA office is to let our member communities know what the other ones are doing. This year we are going to try having “news flashes” – two or three every month – of unusual or interesting little news items from different communities. When you think of something for your own community, send it to your board member! For example:
- There was a nice article in The Atlantic magazine online about the Sisters of Sion and their work behind the scenes at Vatican Council II, and how they influenced the work on Catholic-Jewish relations at that Council.
- The Carmelites of Vedruna in Ceuta (a Spanish colony in north Morocco) participated in the burial of a young immigrant from Mali. After 90 burials of “unidentified male” migrants, they saw to it that young Kane Samasse had his own tombstone and burial service.
