The 51st UN Commission on Social Development is meeting in early February, with the theme: “Promoting the empowerment of people in achieving poverty eradication, social integration, full employment and decent work for all.” Nine people associated with UNANIMA communities will be attending. Our intern Celia Martin NDS has submitted an oral intervention on how “Building community connectedness and belonging enables vulnerable people to better participate in decision-making and other social and learning opportunities, and to give something back to their communities.” from her own experience. We hope she will be chosen to present this during the commission meeting.
