Water With Blessings, with whom several UNANIMA communities have been working partners, won the Clarence H. Moore Award for Excellence in Voluntary Service, one of six Awards for Excellence in Inter-American Public Health of 2014. This award is given by the Pan-American Health Organization Foundation, which is an affiliate of the World Health Organization.
The Water With Blessings program was also evaluated by the Center for Affordable Water and Sanitation Technology. They gave WWB a very good review, saying that “you are conducting a very advanced model—you will be teaching us!”
In communities with no access to safe water, Water With Blessings trains “water women” to use dependable and inexpensive water purification filters, as a ministry to their families and community. Several UNANIMA communities are involved in teaching their sisters how to train water women; other communities are making donations and/or helping with fund-raising. You can be proud of our partnership with this fine organization!
