(9/7/07): Maryknoll is sponsoring an essay contest ($1000 prize) for middle
and secondary school
students. Essayists are asked to explain what they would do
to follow Jesus’ command to promote peace instead of violence.

Professor at Gonzaga University in Spokane and Mary Medved, before her
